Classic BRIT Awards 2013

Scheduled end time 10:30pm

Myleene Klass has been confirmed to present this year's Classic BRIT Awards, which will include performances from the world's most successful contemporary classical pianists, Lang Lang and Ludovico Einaudi, and Australian saxophonist Amy Dickson. The London Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Christopher Warren Green, will accompany the evening's performances.

This year's Outstanding Contribution to Music award will go to Hans Zimmer, one of the world's most prolific modern music composers. Zimmer has scored over 100 films in just over 30 years, winning a multitude of awards along the way.

Now in its 14th year, the Classic BRIT Awards has played a major role in supporting and nurturing talent in both the core and crossover classical world. The event was established in 2000 to honour and recognise all forms of classical music from contemporary to crossover, opera to soundtracks, traditional to theatre.
