Maintaining the Building: Attracting excellence to our stage
The Royal Albert Hall attracts leading artists and figures from around the world and has hosted everyone from Wagner to Sinatra, The Beatles to Beyoncé and Muhammad Ali to Winston Churchill. The main auditorium is unique and magnificent. However, we need your support to help maintain the Hall's integral role in the history and future of British culture and live performance.
This essential work will include:
Improving artist facilities
To match the calibre of world-class artists who perform at the Hall, our backstage areas and artist accommodation must be extended and updated. Help us to ensure that the Hall remains a thriving venue, able to attract the best talent from around the world.
Improving audience experience
The Royal Albert Hall is a hardworking building but its Victorian steam heating is inefficient and temperamental. With a new "Low Temperature Hot Water" system, we will make the experience of visiting the Hall better for everyone, while effectively managing our energy consumption. This is a priority if we are to meet the needs of artists, audiences and the wider environment.
"Greater than all the great halls in the world"
